Silver Fox Gallery & Interiors, Hendersonville, NC

I have to plug my wifes Contemporary Art and Home Furnishings business first. She has grown her business enterprise over the past ten years into a well travelled and well known Downtown Hendersonville shopping desitnation. THe gallery comprises three floors, nearly 7,000 sqaure feet of personally hand selected works in Glass, Clay, Hand crafted furniture, American Lighting, 2- Deminsional Wall Art and Metal Sculpture. Her next major show or work. Sue Fazio, opens October 2nd.

The Upstairs Art Space, Tryon, NC

This non-profit art gallery contains works from among many of my best and personal friends. Contemporary and at times Avant' Garde in exhibitions the collections of work are truly remarkable and the talent will speak for itself. Tryon has enjoyed a decades long and storied history of the Arts movement dating back to the early 1920's.

The New Museum’s exhibition of artworks from the collection of Dakis Joannou, one of its trustees, did not sound like a good idea. Seeing it up close does not change that.

Art Review | 'The Armory Show': Ahoy From Nudes, a Pirate and Scrooge McDuckArt3/7/2010 8:29 PM
There is not a lot of socio-politically provocative art to be found in the Armory Show. There are, however, many works in the bite-the-hand-that-feeds department.
